Network is the fifth section of the Scouting family for young adults between 18 and 25 and in addition to the great range of activities available to youger sections, Network units are expected to be able to organise their own activities and events with the support of a Network Support Leader. Members also have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within the organisation if they wish, whether as Leaders of younger sections or Skills Instructors. As adults, potentially in a position of trust, Network membership is subject to receiving a satisfactory CRB check.
For young adults away from home, at University for example, there is the option of either finding a local Network Unit or joining SSAGO, the Student Scout and Guide Organisation. SSAGO has branches at many universities and is open to all students at university or higher education college in the UK.
